Check out DJ Albo’s favorite playlist: Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirms he’ll be turning the tables at Kyle Sandilands’ wedding and has picked some surprising tracks

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will be dusting his turntables on Saturday as he slips his DJ Albo persona ahead of Kyle Sandilands and Tegan Kynaston’s wedding.

The Labor leader, 60, has a long history of performing in his spare time and running the country doesn’t seem to slow him down.

Event attendees can expect to see everything from Springsteen and Spiderbait to Taylor Swift, The Killers and Cold Chisel. The Daily Telegraph on Friday.

Sharing a playlist from his Bella Union performance in Melbourne in 2015, it seems the politician is diving into all genres from rock and indie to Australian hip-hop.

It comes after Mr Albanese’s performance at the radio king’s wedding, 51, sparked a political storm as the federal opposition criticized him for the decision.

At a press conference on Friday, Mr Albanese confirmed he will be attending Kyle’s wedding to Tegan on Saturday, along with the likes of Today Show host Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine, Kings Cross nightclub identity John Ibrahim, singer Guy Sebastian and NSW Prime Minister Chris Minns.

Mr Albanese noted that he was not in charge of the invitation list and went on to describe Kyle as an Australian success story.

“A chap who was once homeless and lived on the streets of Sydney and has grown into someone who is an important public figure is part of what is an Australian success story,” he said.

Event attendees can expect to see everything from Springsteen and Spiderbait to Taylor Swift, The Killers and Chisel, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.

Mr Albanese has publicly committed to DJing at the reception, stating on Kyle’s radio show last year, ‘That’s on! I keep my promises.’

Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley criticized Mr Albanese’s priorities in a statement, saying: “There is nothing wrong with going to a friend’s wedding, but it is curious that the Prime Minister thinks he has a few days before his first proper budget can take a day off.

“Australians will rightly wonder whether the Prime Minister should play cards on a million dollar wedding when people can’t afford their rent.”

Kyle and Tegan will tie the knot on Saturday in a ceremony rumored to cost the radio host a cool $1 million.

The couple has locked up the beautiful Swifts listed house for the occasion.

The guest list includes Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine, as well as Kings Cross nightclub identity John Ibrahim and his model girlfriend Sarah Budge.

Singer Guy Sebastian and his stylist Jules are also invited, while the Australian Idol star will perform at the reception.

The lavish event will also include NSW Prime Minister Chris Minns and his wife.
