A Colorado security guard has been charged with murder in connection with a decapitated body after police found him with a severed hand in his pocket.
Solomon Martinez, 26, was arrested Jan. 10 and charged with first-degree murder by Pueblo Police Department officers after they discovered a decapitated female body.
Police said they were responding to a call of a reported homicide in Fountain Creek, just south of Highway 47, when they discovered the body and quickly linked it to Martinez.
He was arrested the same day while working security at the Sangre De Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo. KRDO.
According to court documents, police found a human hand wrapped in a plastic bag in Martinez’s pocket at the time of his arrest.

The 26-year-old reportedly said: ‘I had my hand in my jacket for two days.’
When they arrested Martinez, police noticed that there was a red-colored stain on his car and that his hands were cut up.
He allegedly told police the cuts were from his dog and later said they were the result of picking up dog feces from rocks.
According to court documents, Martinez initially told police that someone had borrowed his car and that they had likely killed the woman.
Police eventually showed Martinez a photo of the woman and he claimed to have hired her as a prostitute on the night of January 8, but dropped her off around 2 or 3 in the morning.
Martinez allegedly asked his roommate, Joshua Mazzurco, for help in disposing of her body.

“He had walked up to me and asked me, ‘Do you want to forgive a thousand dollars of your debt? I need a ten-foot gap.” And he looks at me and says, “I’m not playing,” Mazzurco told KRDO.
Court documents said later in the day Martinez told Mazzurco his comments were a joke and asked if he thought it was funny.
‘I was terrified. I was terrified. Like, I can’t even put into words how physically scared I was,” Mazzurco said.
The roommate said he did not help Martinez, but records show he saw him washing blood off his hands at a car wash.
