The secret to how David and Victoria Beckham finally cracked America after 25 years as the A-listers’ empire continues to grow
The Beckhams will appear in the living rooms of more than 120 million Americans as they appear in a lucrative advertisement this Sunday during the highly anticipated Superbowl.
Along with the likes of Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer and Usher, the pair will take part in a comedy sketch as part of a multi-million pound advert for Uber Eats.
On such a big sporting night, it is a big deal for David and Victoria to be involved in a major highlight on the American calendar.
Those close to the pair believe this is proof that after more than 25 years of being British toppers, they have finally managed to crack America, something they are ‘excited’ about.
Even when David and his family started playing for LA Galaxy in 2007 with much fanfare and his face plastered on billboards all over Los Angeles, Victoria was able to go about her business relatively unnoticed in Hollywood.

And The Mail can reveal that the key to their success is quite unlikely: America’s biggest influencer, Kim Kardashian.
Since Victoria’s once-troubled business has been such a hit in the US, she’s attracted some high-profile new friends, including the Instagram sensation.
Kim’s support has led to the Beckhams becoming “ridiculously powerful” for some of the world’s biggest brands.
The women became close friends after meeting on the ‘Los Angeles’ circuit and last summer she was a star guest at David’s football club Inter Miami when Lionel Messi made his debut.
A friend of the Beckhams said: ‘Victoria is an absolute hit in America because she has worked and worked to make her business work there.
“She’s made some very high-profile connections, including Kim. You’ll get Kim to talk about you on Instagram and you’ll be seen by 346 million people who follow her. It was a masterstroke.
“David’s football team has been huge, especially signing Messi. It’s cool and it’s central.’
Sources close to the Beckhams also cite the successful Netflix documentary Beckham as the reason for their enormous fame.

The three-part program was the most watched show on the streaming giant in America for several weeks last year, providing insight into the fascinating lives of the A-lister.
The final scene of David and Victoria, who turn 50 in April, singing to Dolly Parton’s Islands in the Stream also went viral around the world.
Meanwhile, another factor – perhaps the most surprising – is their beloved eldest son, Brooklyn, 24, who has become a social media superstar in America since marrying actress and heiress Nicola Peltz, 29.
Nicola, the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, and Brooklyn have become extremely sought after by brands such as Tiffany & Co, Pepsi and Pepe jeans.
A friend told The Mail on Sunday: ‘How ironic that Brooklyn contributed to his parents’ fame and status in America.
‘He and Nicola are definitely big, household names, and now David and Victoria are following suit.’
Insiders at Uber Eats say bosses bought the Beckhams for millions of pounds after learning how big they had become in America.
On Sunday they will be seen in a comedy video in which they will jokingly forget the name of Victoria’s pop group, the Spice Girls.

“Remember when you were a pepper lady?” David asks, as Victoria, wearing a T-shirt that reads “David’s wife,” looks confused.
She then replies, “Wasn’t it the Cinnamon Sisters?” Or Paprika Girls?’ to promote Uber Eats just weeks after son Brooklyn opened a pop-up restaurant with the company.
The Beckhams have also recreated the viral moment from their recent documentary, in which David tells his wife to be “honest” about her middle-class upbringing, while she wears another t-shirt that reads: “My Dad Had a Rolls -Royce’ as a nod to her father Tony takes her to school in the plush car.
David is also about to be unveiled as the face of Stella Artois, and recently signed on as an ambassador for Nespresso coffee.
