A second victim in the case against four Real Madrid players, who allegedly passed on sexual content without the consent of those involved, has come forward.
Earlier in September, it emerged that three Los Blancos academy stars had been arrested following a sex tape involving an underage teenage girl.
The video was then allegedly distributed on WhatsApp without the teenage girl’s consent.
The mother of the minor allegedly involved filed a complaint against four Real players, after which those involved were later arrested at the Valdebebas training field. After interrogation, they were reportedly released.
Spanish outlet El Mundo now claims that a second victim has come forward, with the alleged victim appearing in the videos shared by the Real Madrid players in question, also claiming not to have given consent.
A second victim has reportedly come forward to accuse Real Madrid players of sharing sexual content without consent
The players were arrested earlier in September at the club’s Valdebebas training ground
They also claim to have had an argument with the footballers over the issue, and that the players knew that although the second person was an adult, they knew the teenager was 16 years old.
While the investigation is ongoing, police are said to be investigating whether the content was shared with other group chats at Real Madrid.
For legal reasons, no names of the footballers were given by Spanish authorities, although a publication in Gran Canaria, where the alleged incident took place, mentioned the name of one of the footballers.
The player in question was linked with a move to West Ham earlier this year and is currently part of Real Madrid reserve team Castilla in Spain’s fifth football tier.
The arrested players were reportedly part of a group of four men and three women who were partying at the Amadores Beach Club in Gran Canaria in June, when the band was allegedly recorded.
The footballer named by some Spanish media is said to have gone to the swimming pool with one of the women for ‘consensual sex’, while the two others stayed with the remaining three Real Madrid players.
The island’s newspaper La Provincia, which unlike rival papers did not name the player but gave a detailed account of the incident that led to the arrests, said: ‘Later the two women who had remained in the chill-out area went to the swimming pool where the Gran Canaria-born player was with the other girl.
‘At that point, one of the women said she suspected one of the players had used his cell phone to record the intercourse.
The second alleged victim claims the players knew the first victim was only 16 years old
According to reports, the arrested footballers were among a group of men and women who were partying at the Amadores Beach Club when the sex tape was allegedly recorded.
‘The players involved admitted that filming had taken place, but promised to delete the content.
‘Two months after that day, two of the girls, one of whom is a minor, discovered at Amadores that the video recorded in June was being shared between WhatsApp groups.
‘Then the mother of the minor decided to press charges.’
Although none of the four players appeared in court, a summons is expected once the judge receives a report.
Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, the first to break news of the arrests, has reported without yet providing any evidence to support its claims: ‘Police sources say several other players could be involved, including players from the first Real Madrid team.’
Clearly, investigations are underway to determine whether others are involved.
A spokesperson for the Guardia Civil in Gran Canaria said late on Thursday: ‘A mother accompanied by her daughter under the age of 16 has reported to the police in Santa Maria de Guía in the province of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria that there are probably some recordings of her are. her daughter’s consensual sexual relations, which were recorded without her consent and which she now knows are in circulation.
Real Madrid released a statement claiming they would take appropriate action once they had detailed knowledge of the facts
“The events in the municipality of Mogan date back to mid-June, but she says she has now learned that these images exist.”
The force added: “For this reason, Court 3 in San Bartolome de Tirajana has ordered the Guardia Civil to make several people available to the court.”
Real Madrid said in a statement last week: ‘Real Madrid would like to announce that it has learned that a Castilla player and three Real Madrid C players have made statements to the Guardia Civil following a complaint about the alleged broadcast of a private video via WhatsApp.
“Once the club has detailed knowledge of the facts, we will take appropriate action.”
