Unsurprisingly, the Seattle Seahawks will run more miles in the 2023 season than any other franchise.
The Washington-based team travels 50,000 miles on its private jet, flying across 36 time zones – the highest next to league rival San Francisco, per Bill Speros.
Seattle also went further than any franchise last season, including a game in Munich vs. Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Through 2022, the fast-growing NFC team has covered 29,446 miles. Given its location in the Pacific Northwest, it’s no surprise that Pete Carroll’s team covers so much ground.
The 49ers will be the second most traveled team with 29,958 miles. Miami will take third place (27,110). Understandably, three of the top five teams live in Washington and California.

Playing in Seattle against the NFC East and AFC North doesn’t help cut down on the mileage
Seattle’s main problem stems from the 2023 schedule, which includes games against both the NFC East and the AFC North.
Geno Smith and Co. traveling to New York, Dallas, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Detroit and Tennessee — in addition to the traditional road races at the Rams, 49ers and Cardinals.
The Seahawks back-to-back games outside of Washington just once, which is sure to be a boost for the NFC West contenders.
Fortunately, Seattle is in Dallas on Thursday night (11/30) with a 10-day break for a rivalry game in San Francisco the following Sunday (10/12).
After a promising 2022 season that ended in a Divisional Round loss to the Niners, the Hawks fielded strong last month, adding corner Devon Witherspoon, wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba, linebacker Derick Hall, among others.
