A Seattle high school with a recent history of activism is facing outrage from a parent after her 10th-grader was misjudged for saying only men have penises and only women get pregnant.
The parent and her student, who spoke anonymously for fear of backlash, said the answers were given on a true-false test in a World History Ethics Studies class at Chief Sealth International High School.
The student asked in his quiz 'Understanding Gender vs. Sex' that it is 'true' that only men have penises and only women can get pregnant.
His mother claims he failed the portion of the quiz because of his answers, prompting her to speak out.
“I continue to try to understand that it is legal to teach inaccurate information and force students to answer against their beliefs or receive negative scores,” she said.

The quiz also included questions about the use of their pronouns and the idea of gender as a construct, according to KTTH.
The parent said this is the latest in a series of humiliations her son faces at school.
The woman claims teachers yelled at her son over accusations of racism and “a product of the patriarchy that teaches young boys not to worry about anything.”
She even claimed that he was told “not to use the term directly to identify himself because it is offensive.”
A spokesperson for Seattle Public Schools defended the quiz in a statement.
“(Seattle Public Schools) remains committed to fostering inclusive environments that encourage the exploration of contemporary issues, especially the examination of systems of power such as racism and patriarchy,” they said.
“This commitment extends to providing a space for thoughtful exploration and dialogue on these issues.”
The student's failure on the quiz will not affect his overall grade for the class, the spokesperson added.
