It is official: The boys season 5 is on its way for Prime Video.
Announced during Amazon’s Upfronts 2024 presentation, the popular R-rated series will return for another outing next The boys season 4, which premieres June 13.
The reveal took place in a short video, which was made public on season 5″ in a wooden table top.

Understandably, little else is known about it The boysfifth episode. In a Press release from Amazon MGM Studiosthe e-commerce giant’s streaming division simply stated that it had ordered a fifth season of its incredibly popular satirical superhero series, which is based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
We won’t know what the plot of season 5 will entail, nor which characters will return for the next entry, until season 4 of one of the best Prime Video shows has aired. Even then we will certainly have to wait longer The boys season 5 debuts on one of the world’s top streaming services.
I’m expecting season 2 of the college spin-off Gen V will be released before the fifth outing of the main show, as storylines The boys season 4 will definitely influence what happens Gen V season 2.
Either way, it’s clear there’s more story to tell The boys‘ live-action universe after season 4. And given how successful it’s been for Amazon, a fifth season – although not inevitable until today’s announcement (May 14) – those involved are certainly willing to tease us out with more Super-killing adventures.

“The boys could be the best job I’ll ever have,” showrunner Eric Kripke added. ‘What other show can I write about politics, capitalism, family and exploding genitals, but not in that order. The cast and crew are grateful to Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios for the opportunity to tell this story for another season. My only problem is that since this year promises to be free of conflict or misinformation, we’re not sure what to write about.”
