Sean Penn he has been known to go with the everyday look when it comes to his fashion choices over the years.
And on Wednesday, the actor, director, activist and philanthropist continued that philosophy when he arrived to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The two-time Oscar winner was spotted making his way to the back entrance of the studio wearing blue jeans, a navy button-down shirt, a black coat and white sneakers.
For his next role, Penn appears in Gonzo Girl, the directorial debut of Patricia Arquette, which stars Camilla Morone, Willem Dafoe and Patricia Arquette, among others.
The drama film had its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7.

Penn, who co-founded the Community Organized Relief Effort, also known as CORE Response, is also co-directing Superpower with Aaron Kaufman, another of his latest projects.
Initially, the Vice Studios production intended to focus on Volodymyr Zelensky’s unique journey from comedian and actor to president of Ukraine, but ended up being an existential threat to democracy, it says CBS News.
After their meetings were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Penn happened to be with President Zelensky when Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2023.
And according to the co-founder of CORE Response, when he met the Ukrainian leader again the next day in the bunker of the presidential palace, he noticed a changed man.
“I met him the day before and … when he walked into the room on the day of the invasion, with our cameras, … it felt like he was born for this … and it was a seamless ascent,” Penn told CBS Morning . “It was a different person, mobile, than the one I met the day before.” And he had — and still has — just like the Ukrainian people, only complete determination.’
Penn made seven trips to Ukraine over a nearly two-year period for the film, which premiered on Paramount+ on September 18.
While there, he said he “finally” felt the unity and community promised to Americans in their own democracy.
“What you have in Ukraine is the most civil democracy, the tightest community, the most unity of any place I’ve ever felt in the world, and it’s a direct representation of the best aspirations we call our democracy,” the Santa Monica native said.
