Sean Paul reveals he is a keen gardener and has even makes his own pepper sauce

He might be best known for his high profile rap career. 

But Sean Paul revealed on Wednesday that just like many others, he also took up a new hobby in lockdown, and is now is a very keen gardener. 

The hitmaker, 49, admitted he has quite the green fingers and has even launched his own Scotch bonnet pepper sauce, named after his latest album, Scorcha. 

Speaking to The Sun about his new venture he detailed: ‘I do gardening. I’ve got a little patch ready in my garden and I planted eggplants, tomatoes, lettuce, pak choi, and also sweet peppers and scotch bonnet peppers.

‘The scotch bonnets are still bearing now, and I picked about 60 of them yesterday. When I’m on tour I have people to take care of them for me.

‘I’ve got so many that I’m starting my own pepper sauce, called Scorcha. It’s going to be available near the end of the year.’

Last month, Sean was joined by Gwen Stefani in his latest music video for Light My Fire, his most recent single from his eighth studio, Scorcha.

Gwen sported a patterned dress with a mesh number beneath while at a smoke-filled house party and BBQ in the Grammy winner’s video, which also featured Jamaican dancehall singer Shenseea. 

She flaunted her phenomenal figure in a long-sleeved fishnet top and stockings beneath a colourful corset high-low dress.

‘Light My Fire is an epic dream come true. I’ve been a fan of Gwen Stefani forever and Shenseea – I am so proud of all she’s accomplished in such a short time,’ Sean said in a statement.

‘Light My Fire is a big bad lover’s rock song and we had to represent it with a big bad video. We went retro on the attire in the video and basically getting ready to party and some lovers rocking. 

‘It’s a vibe we hope everyone gets when they listen to the track – feel good and party lovers rock style.’
