The View’s Ana Navarro has labeled Sean “Diddy” Combs a “social leper” and a “criminal” following the release of a shocking video of him beating up his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.
Whoopi Goldberg started Monday’s episode of the ABC show by mentioning the 54-year-old rapper’s apology video, posted to Instagram on May 19, in which he describes his behavior as “inexcusable.”
As the panel, including Sunny Hostin, discussed the fact that Diddy couldn’t be sued due to the statute of limitations, Ana, 52, didn’t hold back, angrily saying, “The LAPD may not be able to charge him, but we can to be avoided and he should be treated like the leper… the social leper and criminal that he is.
“We saw him commit an assault, and I don’t want to see him in any restaurant, I don’t want to see him at any awards show. I’m not going to buy any brand he’s associated with, he’s already been dropped by a number of people. “I believe this man should be treated and paid terrible social consequences – if the legal authorities don’t catch him,” she continued.

When Sunny, 55, asked if it was true that Diddy paid the hotel in question $50,000 to “bury the video,” Ana quickly responded, “Well, that’s part of the story, it’s said he paid that.”
“And if that’s the case, shame on those hotel workers, shame on all the people around Sean Combs who enabled, justified, and looked the other way for this kind of behavior for decades, because these whispers have been around for decades. ‘
Eager to add to Ana’s comments, Sunny said, “I heard a lot of blame for Cassie and focused on Cassie. Let’s not forget that when they met in 2005, she was 17 and he was 37.
‘I have an 18-year-old daughter. I can’t believe that all these years later, she had the courage to break that cycle for herself and come out of this,” Sunny added.
Alyssa Farah Griffin then spoke up and revealed that she was also in an abusive relationship in the past but was able to “walk away.”
‘I hope the book is thrown at him, the apology was missing. He didn’t mention Cassie, there was no message for young men. Part of this conversation I’ve seen since this video came out is asking, “Why didn’t she leave?” the former White House aide said.
‘And I want to talk to that. I have been a victim of domestic violence in a previous relationship, it happened once. I was one of the lucky ones where the power dynamics were in my favor, that I could leave, walk away and remove myself from him [but] In the vast majority of cases this is not the case.’
Alyssa, 34, continued: ‘They use financial abuse to keep you, they use emotional manipulation, adding that this is a multi-millionaire, incredibly powerful, incredibly well-connected person, there’s a whole industry to make money off of him to deserve. She had no hope of getting away from him.”
