Screaming motorist who banged on terrified woman driver’s windscreen and called her a ‘s**g’ in ‘road rage’ incident is unmasked

The screaming motorist who punched a terrified female driver’s windscreen and shouted at her during a shocking road rage incident has been unmasked.

Foul-mouthed Peter Abbott, 59, went viral in a video this week when he started shouting at the female motorist, calling her a ‘bloody nasty woman’ and a ‘bloody s**g’.

Shocking footage showed the hostile man aggressively approaching the car outside a petrol station in Bournemouth, Dorset, snapping at the woman while shouting: ‘Are you seeing me, bloody?’

The video, which was reportedly recorded on August 25, was posted to Facebook by Becky Ryan as she appealed for people to identify the man who shouted at the woman, who she identified as her mother.

She wrote: ‘Does anyone know this vile, disgusting, pathetic excuse of a human being who decided to verbally abuse my mother at Tesco Bournemouth Castle Lane petrol station last Friday?’

Now, just days after the despicable abuse was widely shared, Abbott has been identified by The sun. When confronted by the newspaper at his luxury apartment block in Bournemouth, where apartments are valued at up to £800,000, he shouted: ‘F*** off’.

He refused to speak about the expletive-laden tirade, shouting: “Just stay away from me. Go away.’

He then allegedly confronted the female reporter as she got into her car to leave, standing against the window and telling her to ‘f*** off’.

In the video from earlier this week, the man was heard shouting “F***ing s**g” at a woman in her car, before turning to another man off camera and telling him: “Yeah, okay , I just wanted to make a point.’

The other man’s response is not seen in the video, but he is heard saying, “Well, go ahead then,” before the motorist walks away and replies, “F*** you.” Damn w****r’.

After turning around, he looks back at the woman in the car and charges at her, before slamming his hands on the windshield and yelling at her.

“Do you see me, you damn idiot,” he shouts.

The other man tells him to “get in your car and drive,” to which the motorist responds, “Yeah, I don’t like people filming, do I?”

‘What’s wrong with you?’ the other man asks. “She’s a woman in her own right.”

The angry driver replies, “She’s a damn nasty woman. Damn woman.”

When asked, “You wouldn’t do it to me, would you?” by the other man, the angry motorist replied “Well, actually I would” before laughing and asking if the other man was threatening him.

In her Facebook post, Ryan claimed the irate motorist “scared a grown woman to death.”

“No, I’m asking you to leave,” he replies. “Get in your car and go, don’t pick on women, you big bully.”

Once again he storms back towards his car and spits, “I’ll pick up anyone I like, please.”

It is unknown what the context of this video is or what happened immediately before or after the shooting.

In her Facebook post, Ms Ryan claimed the man ‘scared a grown woman to death’.

She also thanks “the gentlemen” who helped her mother get away from the man, adding that she is looking for them so she can say thank you.

Ms Ryan claims she registered an incident report on both August 25 and 31 after her mother was verbally abused, but only received an email in response. She claims she then tried to respond to the email, but it “came back, so I guess I’ll wait another two weeks then.”

Dorset Police told MailOnline: ‘On Friday 25 August 2023 at approximately 11.40am, officers responded to a call from a member of the public following a public order and criminal damage incident at the Tesco petrol station on Castle Lane, Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the man got out of his car, verbally abused the victim and punched the windshield of the victim’s car.

‘The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made yet.”
