On a JetBlue flight, a shouting match broke out between a mother and another passenger, who accused her of delaying takeoff by carrying “too many children.”
Video footage from fellow passenger Chanel Morel shows the moment the situation went from 0 to 100 – very quickly.
The woman appears to be blamed for the many delays after she handed her child over to a Good Samaritan after being told the child had to sit with an adult.
The incident occurred on June 23 during a flight from JFK Airport in New York City to Cibao International Airport in the Dominican Republic.
“We had several delays, it wasn’t her fault,” Morel told PPV Tahoe.

Mother’s teenage son stood up for his parents after man vented his anger
The plane was about to take off when the flight attendant noticed the mother carrying two babies and a 13-year-old son. The teen was carrying his little sister and the mother was carrying the other baby, Morel said.
The flight attendant informed the mother that another adult needed to be present. After the pilot learned of the incident, the plane had to return to the gate.
However, a good Samaritan offered to hold the baby on his lap when the plane arrived back at the gate. The mother agreed, so they changed the reservation so that the baby was under the other passenger’s name.
The problem was resolved and the plane returned to the tarmac. However, just before takeoff, another passenger attacked the mother and blamed her for all the problems.
“When the problem was resolved and we were about to leave, the guy went completely crazy and started yelling at her,” Chanel said.
While the man was yelling at the mother, her teenager stood up for her, furious at the lack of respect.
“Who do you think you talk to like that when my mother is around?” the teenager said.

The man cursed at the teenager, at which point the mother intervened and cursed at the man for directing his anger at a minor.
Most airlines operate on the principle that an adult passenger may care for a maximum of two children during the flight.
