Scotty McCreery and wife Gabi share first Christmas card with baby boy Merrick Avery on Instagram

Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi celebrated their first Christmas with their baby Merrick Avery.

The 29-year-old American Idol winner recently shared a Christmas card on social media featuring himself, Gabi and the baby that was inside a gift bag alongside the family dog, Moose.

“Favorite Christmas cards so far,” Scotty wrote in the caption for his roughly 663,000 Instagram followers.

A second slide showed the back of the Christmas card also as a birth announcement.

It read: ‘Merrick ‘Avery’ McCreery, Oct 24, 2022, 7 lb 13 oz’ and included photos of Merrick, including one with Moose.

“Sending love from our family to yours this holiday season,” read the card lovingly signed by Scotty, Gabi, Avery and Moose.

Scotty won American Idol season 10 in May 2011 and fellow country singer Lauren Alaina, 28, finished in second place.

Birth Announcement: A second slide showed the back of the Christmas card which also doubled as a birth announcement.

He was working as a bagger at Lowes Foods in North Carolina when he auditioned for American Idol at age 16.

Scotty turned 17 during the competition and became the youngest male winner and the second youngest winner overall after 33-year-old season six champion Jordin Sparks, who was also 17 when she won.

He released his fifth studio album, Same Truck, in September 2021.

Singing Show: Scotty won American Idol season 10 in May 2011 with fellow country singer Lauren Alaina, 28, finishing runner-up, shown with host Ryan Seacrest during the finale.

Scotty got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Gabi Dugal, in September 2017.

They got married in June 2018 in North Carolina and announced last June that they were expecting a baby boy they call by their middle name Avery.

Scotty earlier this month performed at CMA Country Christmas, which is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.

He also serves as an executive producer on Five More Minutes: Moments Like These which premiered earlier this month on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

The film is the second Christmas movie to be inspired by Scotty’s song Five More Minutes.

Scotty also has an upcoming tour scheduled to kick off in January with a show in Hinton, Oklahoma.
