Scottie Scheffler undergoes surgery after freak accident preparing Christmas dinner
Scottie Scheffler has been forced to withdraw from the first PGA tournament of the year and undergo surgery after cutting his hand on broken glass while preparing Christmas dinner.
“On Christmas Day, while preparing dinner, Scottie suffered a stab wound to the palm of his right hand from a broken glass. Small pieces of glass remained in the palm of the hand, requiring surgery,” Scheffler’s manager Blake Smith said in a statement Friday.
‘He has been told that he should be back to 100% in three to four weeks. Unfortunately, he will have to withdraw from The Sentry. His next scheduled tournament is The American Express.”
