Scottie Scheffler makes his first appearance since his second Masters win, as the Green Jacket holder plays in RBC Heritage despite having a heavily pregnant wife at home
Scottie Scheffler has made his first appearance following his Masters win this weekend, with the two-time Green Jacket holder playing in the RBC Heritage despite his wife being heavily pregnant.
Scheffler repeatedly insisted last week that he would leave Augusta — even if he was in charge — if his wife, Meredith, gave birth.
However, that never happened and Scheffler returned to the court on Thursday during the tournament in South Carolina.
He had said after his Masters victory that he was ‘coming home’.
“I’ll come home as soon as I can,” he said.

Scheffler is believed to have returned to Meredith in Dallas, but he was also spotted stopping at a dive bar to celebrate his win.
He was nearly brought to tears at Butler Cabin on Sunday as he discussed his victory ahead of the impending arrival of his first child.
“I will certainly enjoy the birth of my first child, and my priorities will change very soon, so golf will be fourth in line, but I still love competing,” he said.
“I don’t plan on taking my eye off the ball anytime soon.”
He added: “I wish I could get through this a little more, but all I can think about is going home. You’re about to make me cry here at Butler Cabin. It is a very special time for both of us.

“I can’t put into words what it means to win this tournament again and I really can’t put into words what it will be like to be a father for the first time.
“I’m looking forward to coming home and celebrating with Meredith, it’s been a long week without her.”
Scheffler married Meredith, his high school sweetheart, in 2020, and the couple is now expecting their first child any day.
Scheffler even found a way to stay connected to Meredith, despite Augusta’s no-phone policy.
“We have someone here who has access to his cell phone,” he said Saturday. “We have open lines of communication and she can reach me if she needs to.
