From the green jacket to the tartan jacket – not even the elements could stop Scottie Scheffler from continuing his astonishing start to the 2024 season.
The world number 1 won the rain-delayed RBC Heritage on Monday, achieving a fourth win in just five tournaments.
That streak, which also includes The Masters in Augusta, has seen him build a level of dominance not seen since Tiger Woods was in his prime.
Scheffler, still just 27, has now pocketed $18.69 million this season – more than double the next highest earner, Wyndham Clark ($9.3 million).
In the last 43 days alone, he has earned more than $16 million, almost half of which came in consecutive weekends thanks to wins at The Masters ($3.6 million) and RBC Heritage ($3.6 million). His caddy Ted Scott, meanwhile, is said to have earned $1.8 million this season – more than Rory McIlroy ($1.7 million).

Since winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month, Scheffler’s salaries have been $4 million, $4.5 million (Players Championship), $550,000 (T2 at Houston Open), $3.6 million (Masters) and $3.6 million (RBC Heritage ).
That’s an average of about $375,000 per day.
In ten events this season, the world number 1 has recorded nine top-10 finishes and four wins. No other player has triumphed more than once.
Only one person in history – Bobby Jones – has won all four majors in one year, but Scheffler is just 50/1 (+5000) with some bookmakers set to follow up on his victory in Augusta – starting with the PGA Championship next month .
Scheffler is currently head and shoulders above all other players in the world – his total of 629 ranking points is almost double that of second-place McIlroy (344).
This latest victory made Scheffler only the second player – and the first since Bernhard Langer in 1985 – to win the RBC Heritage and The in consecutive weeks.

The 27-year-old finished on 19 under par – three shots ahead of Sahith Theegala in second place
Scheffler finished three shots ahead of South Carolina’s Sahith Theegala, closing at 19 under par despite a bogey five on the final hole.
Previously, the world No. 1 had played 68 straight holes without dropping a single shot – a streak dating back to the third hole of Thursday’s opening round.
Through the 2024 season, Scheffler has now tied or better for 39 consecutive rounds.
After clinching the victory on Monday, Scheffler had managed more than five shots off the tee, nearly seven shots with his approaches to the green, and more than twelve shots overall. He led the field on all three counts.
No one made as few bogeys last week (one) and no one was better at saving par after missing the green in regulation (15/17).
