Scotland’s Lyndon Dykes is RULED OUT of Euro 2024 after suffering a ‘freak’ injury in training… leaving Steve Clarke with just two senior strikers ahead of Germany opener

Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes has been ruled out of the 2024 European Championship after suffering an injury in training, it has been confirmed.

Dykes, 28, was taken off on a stretcher during a session yesterday, just two weeks before Steve Clarke’s side started their group stage match against Germany.

A statement from Scotland, posted on

‘We’re really sorry for you, Lyndon, but we know you’ll be back in a Scotland shirt soon. I hope you recover quickly.’

The frontman has scored nine goals in his 36 international appearances so far.
