  • He also implied that his mental anguish occurred as a result of his mother’s suicide.

A former school superintendent is still being paid his $190,000 salary even though he resigned in disgrace after smearing a teen driven to suicide by bullies as a drug addict.

The continued compensation of the former Central New Jersey Regional School District Triantafillos Parlapanides was revealed during a tense public forum held in Bayville on Thursday following the suicide of 14-year-old Adriana Kuch.

A concerned parent, who did not give his name, asked school officials if the school was still paying the former Parlapanides.

‘I’ve been waiting this whole meeting to find out, so do you still get paid?’

The board looked at attorney Christopher Dasti, who said: ‘He’s still getting paid.’

‘Because?’ asked the concerned father.

The disclosure was made in a forum on Thursday night, pictured, though no further details were shared about why he is being paid and how much longer he will be paid.

Adriana's father said he was

Adriana’s father said she was “embarrassed” by video of the attack circulating online and bullies harassing her on social media and in text messages.

“That’s a personal matter,” Dasti replied without addressing the question further.

The response was met with a visceral roar from the crowd that quickly died down as Wilson banged on his gavel to call the gathering to “order.”

Further details of why Parlapanides continues to be paid are not yet clear.

Nothing else was revealed during the meeting, and nothing was said about how much longer he can keep getting a paycheck.

Parlapanides resigned last week after emailing DailyMail.com about Kuch’s suicide to reveal that the young man had been offered drug abuse counselling.

He also alleged that Adriana’s father, Michael, an Army veteran, had an affair when Adriana was seven that drove his partner, Adriana’s mother, to commit suicide.

Parlapanides went on to claim that Michael had moved those women into his home and suggested that the alleged agitation might have been to blame for the anguish that led Adriana to take her own life.

She was found dead in a closet at her home on February 3 and shared her torment at being bullied before taking her own life.
