A woman has been charged with intent to murder after she allegedly swerved off the road and hit a known man before entering a home.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident on Sciberras Avenue in Schofields in Sydney’s west at about 3pm on Tuesday after reports were made that a vehicle had gone off the road and hit a house.
Police officers attached to Riverstone Police Area Command found the man, 38, with serious injuries after he was reportedly hit by the vehicle.
He was treated by paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in critical condition.
The 44-year-old driver was also injured in the accident.

She was arrested before being taken to Blacktown Hospital in stable condition.
The woman was released from hospital and taken to Riverstone police station around 8am the next day.
She has been charged with causing wounding/grievous bodily harm to a person with intent to murder (DV) and causing grievous bodily harm to a person with intent to murder (DV).
She was taken into custody and was due to appear in court on Wednesday.
Her bail was formally denied during her performance.
She will appear before Penrith local court on October 6.
