Washington Nationals outfielder Daylen Lile left the team’s spring training on a stretcher after taking a scary fall over the outfield wall while trying to rob a home run.

The Nationals were left holding their breath as one of their top prospects was stretchered away at JetBlue Park on Saturday.

Lile was trying to catch a ball hit deep into right field by Boston Red Sox first baseman Tyler Miller when he tried to jump up and crashed into the hip-high wall.

The 21-year-old fell headfirst as he landed in the Red Sox bullpen, prompting nearby pitchers and coaches to immediately call for medical attention in scary scenes.

He was eventually taken off the field on a stretcher with a brace around his neck.

Nationals manager Davey Martinez said Lile landed on his back and was transported to a local hospital for a CAT scan and that the team would know the extent of his injuries on Sunday.

Martinez also added that Lile had mobility in both his arms and legs after his fall.

“Hit pretty hard, on the ground,” Martinez said afterward The Athletics. ‘He’s going to have himself examined. When we left, he moved his feet and legs. Hopefully everything comes back negative. We will pray for him.”

Lile is ranked as Washington’s No. 6 prospect by MLB Pipeline and finished last season with an .807 OPS between Low and High-A baseball.

A member of the Nationals training staff is expected to stay with him until he is ready to return to the team facility.

Boston went on to win the match 4-2.
