“And so there’s a lot of friction there. And he’s very rule-abiding, he’s got a lot of integrity. He’s kind of a control freak, and I’m just not something he can control.”
Scarlet also admitted that she and Channing had appeared in two other films, but that they had never shared dialogue.
‘He and Anne Hathaway had a small part in Don Jon, where they were doing a romantic comedy, and we also worked together — well, I wouldn’t say together — but we were both in Hail, Caesar! and this was the first time we really got to have a dialogue with each other.’
Directed by Greg Berlanti, Fly Me to the Moon features a cast including Woody Harrelson, Ray Romano and Jim Rash.
Scarlet said today that the film was inspired by real-world theories and controversies surrounding the moon landing.
“I have a production company here in New York called These Pictures, and one of our employees, our head of film, Keenan, was playing with the idea of… what if this conspiracy theory was true? Could you build a genre film around it?” she explained.
In the same interview, the actress spoke candidly about Colin’s upcoming job as a reporter for the Tahiti Olympics.
Colin, 42, will report on the surfing competition at the Paris Olympics as part of NBC’s Olympic coverage.
