Say hello to SetMe: a modern solution for providing remote technical support

Remote work has dramatically changed the way we do business in recent years, helping our companies reach a scale where the best employees can be located in a hemisphere. But with remote work comes the need for technical support that can cover the entire world. How can we meet the need to provide technical support to remote workers without compromising the integrity of their computer systems? Set me up meets this need with an easy-to-setup, more user-friendly expert control panel that connects support teams to remote customers.

SetMe was developed by the expert teams behind FixMe.IT and draws on over 17 years of remote desktop and support experience. Despite the rise of remote work scenarios, the remote desktop software market has stagnated with outdated technology that can be risky for your team to use. The team behind SetMe’s experience sets this software apart because they built it with modern technology that can keep your customer’s system secure while still delivering faster, better, and more reliable performance compared to the tech support software of yesteryear.

Connecting SetMe to a remote computer is a simple three-step process. Start by requesting the remote client to download and install the SetMe Client app, from which he or she will be assigned a randomly generated client ID. From the expert console, click New Connection and enter the remote user’s client ID so SetMe can connect. From there, technical support teams can then control the desktop remotely. It doesn’t matter whether your team runs on a fleet of Macs, Windows PCs, or a combination of both: SetMe works flawlessly with both systems, so your engineering teams can take control as if they were the ones behind the keyboard.

A connection through SetMe is safe, reliable, and secured with end-to-end encryption technology that allows your team to access data between remote devices, even if those devices are unmanaged by another user. Remote work can often mean your team is spread across multiple time zones, but with SetMe you don’t have to worry about scheduling conflicts and availability. Systems can even remain connected via SetMe during restarts, shutdowns, and when the remote computer is in sleep mode.

Security and productivity are important when working remotely, and SetMe can make it easy to track your team’s connectivity and login history. This allows you to make more accurate, data-driven decisions for your business without compromising the privacy or workflow of remote team members. Systems with SetMe can be locked down for strict private access rules with permission filters, or more freely available with one-click connections to unmanaged machines. The SetMe Expert Console is flexible and reliable for a variety of remote technical support scenarios.
