Savvy mum shares unusual method for drying clothes without a tumble-dryer

An innovative mum has wowed Facebook users after sharing her unusual method for drying clothes.

While those with a tumble dryer have little to worry about, many Brits are forced to hang their clothes on a drying rack at home… and resist the urge to put damp clothes on the radiator.

Now a smart woman has shared her clever hack that can help you avoid having wet clothes in your home and even save on heating costs.

An innovative mum shared her unusual way of drying clothes with an extreme bargain Facebook group – and all you need is a pop-up greenhouse

Anyone with a small outdoor space can try the method, which involves simply purchasing a small pop-up greenhouse.

The woman posted on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and shared a photo of her tent-like greenhouse.

She said: ‘I thought I would share my clothes drying hack. Not for everyone, but works for us. A £46 plastic greenhouse. We don’t have space indoors for large tumble dryers and not ideal for having wet laundry due to asthmatic children.’

The woman had placed her clothes rack in the plastic greenhouse, away from the harsh British weather.

She explained, “We only have storage heaters, so we can’t dry clothes on them either. Next spring I will use the greenhouse for the right purpose and grow plants with my children.’

The technique has proven popular and homeowners across the UK have praised the woman for the affordable trick.

One person wrote: ‘This is a fantastic idea! I don’t have a garden, but I do have an enclosed balcony where I dry the laundry, usually with the help of a dehumidifier.’

Another impressed Facebooker added: ‘If I get a smaller greenhouse I can put it over the fan and dehumidifier and it should also dry faster, saving me more on the cost of the dehumidifier. I’m super glad you posted this because it’s not something I would have thought of.”

Homeowners don’t have to spend a lot of money with this technique, as there are plenty of affordable plastic greenhouses available that can be purchased in stores or online.
