Savannah Chrisley can’t wait to ‘spend a lot of time’ with boyfriend Robert Shiver – but says it’s ‘hard’ keeping up long-distance relationship: ‘They suck’
Savannah Chrisley has high hopes for the time she will spend with her boyfriend Robert Shiver.
But the 26-year-old Chrisley Knows Best alumna admitted she’s also not a fan of having to maintain a long-distance relationship with the former Auburn University football player, as she updated her fans on Tuesday’s episode . Unlocked podcast.
She called the geographically separated arrangement “difficult” and complained that long-distance relationships are “bad.”
In the same episode, Savannah gave her fans an update on her incarcerated parents Todd and Julie Chrisley, admitting that she felt “guilty” for only visiting them twice a month.
While talking about the ups and downs of her relationship with Robert, Savannah said that long-distance relationships seem easy to manage at first.

“I’m just saying, they’re so easy at first, but then when you have big life moments and holidays that you can’t spend together, it’s really hard,” she admitted.
DailyMail.com confirmed their relationship in September 2023, and Savannah said she and Robert had been dating for nine months.
Now Savannah is trying to “navigate this next chapter of my personal relationship.”
βIt’s just hard, that long distance,β she continued. “But now that summer is here, we’ll be spending a lot of time together.”
She cryptically added that it would be “interesting” if she got to know Robert’s friends and family better.
Although the distance between the two was her biggest complaint, Savannah added that it was also “hard because he has kids.”
Since her parents went to prison, Savannah has taken on the responsibility of caring for her younger siblings, Grayson Chloe, so she also has children who should be her first priority.
Chloe is the daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley’s son Kyle, but they adopted her in 2017 while Kyle was in the throes of a battle with addiction.
βThere’s rarely time for just him and me, so we have to be better at managing that time,β Savannah said.

But she noted that he had children while she was caring for the children of two of her incarcerated parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, making it extra difficult to find time for herself.

Prior to her relationship with Robert, Savannah was engaged to former NHL player Nic Kerdiles for two years before they ended their engagement in 2020.
Kerdiles β who reportedly threatened to kill himself with a gun during an incident that forced Savannah and her father Todd to call 911 β died on September 23 last year after crashing his motorcycle into the side of a car while intoxicated.
Robert had his own shocking story. In the summer of 2023, his wife Lindsay Shiver was arrested for allegedly plotting with her boyfriend to have him killed by a hitman.
Lindsay, her alleged boyfriend and the hitman were all arrested, but Robert has little say in the shocking turn of events.
