Savannah Chrisley has claimed her father Todd is facing “retaliation” for speaking out about the “terrible, deplorable” prison conditions he says he is currently facing.
The daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley, who was convicted in 2022 of tax evasion and bank fraud, said her father faced retaliation for speaking out about conditions behind bars, vengeful prison officials and mistreatment of inmates.
Todd and Julie were sent to prison in January 2023. After their sentences were reduced in September, Julie will serve five and a half years at the Federal Medical Center Lexington, while Todd will serve 10 years in a federal prison in Pensacola, Florida.
“The retaliation is real,” Savannah, 26, told NewsNation national correspondent Brian Entin. “It's heartbreaking for me to watch as his daughter, but they have even gone so far as to say they will try to transfer him to a state facility because our federal institutions cannot guarantee his safety. Savannah claimed that there were people working at the prison who gave her information about the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBoP), which “should scare the warden and the BoP.”
“The BoP has called me a liar several times, but I have all the information to back that up,” she stated. “And these letters, I mean, I even have recordings of them talking about my father's sending….”
Savannah continued, explaining that prison staff would have to “find something he's violating” to send him elsewhere.
“So I heard they're going as far as putting cell phones and drugs in his lockers so they can send him to a facility and really behind bars,” she said.
Savannah also shared how her mother, Julie, dealt with her prison sentence.
“She's having a hard time, she's having a hard time being away from her kids,” she admitted. “The conditions are terrible… they are deplorable.”
She then described the conditions in her mother's prison, saying that she was forced to live without heat in 30F and that there was a dead bird in the water they drank from.
“They'll do a temporary fix and then it'll be without again,” Savannah complained.

The television personality said “it's tough,” but she continues to fight for her parents.
“I know my father's attitude,” she insisted. “You know, these COs (corrections officers), I would like to see them shake up these green wardrobes that my parents are putting up because they violate a lot of federal laws, including mail theft, which is a huge problem.”
Todd previously spoke to Brian Entin through his attorney in December, claiming he was targeted by the security guard because of his apparently privileged lifestyle in the outside world.
During his interview, Todd claimed that someone sent a photo of him sleeping to his daughter Savannah and demanded that she pay $2,600 a month for his protection.
“There are recordings of staff members here talking about 'he needs to be humiliated,'” Todd added, recalling, “What we need to do is give him diesel therapy and put him in handcuffs and drive him around. the land, and then bring him back and that will humiliate him.”
The father of five also noted that he was not allowed to communicate verbally with his wife.
“It's devastating,” he said. “You know she and I email four or five times a day, but they'll save my emails and keep them on her end, and that's also a way to punish us for what Savannah does.”
Todd then claimed that he only ate what he made for himself at the commissary because the prison was “so disgustingly filthy.”
The family is known for their ten seasons of Chrisley Knows Best, one of the highest-rated reality TV shows with millions of viewers.
