You’d think Tom Hawkins’ daughter Primrose would side with Geelong for the AFL Grand Final showdown with Sydney.

Think again.

In a hilarious clip uploaded to Twitter, the champion full-forward, 34, revealed a newspaper photo of himself alongside Swans superstar Buddy Franklin.

Hawkins then playfully asks his daughter who she thinks will win at the MCG, the Cats or Swans.

When the youngster unexpectedly answers the swans, a stunned Hawkins declares “righto mate, this is where we part.”

Hawkins will be a key figure for Geelong in the front pocket at the MCG, the first jump from 2.30pm, as the little prime ministers look to finish an impressive season with a flag.

The son of Cats legend Jack Hawkins has already won two premierships – in 2009 and 2011 – but would enjoy a third as he reaches the twilight of his glittering career.

Hawkins is an avid farmer who loves footy and is already making plans for life after he stops tagging Sherrins.

The father of three lives on 62 acres and loves nothing more than herding Black Angus cattle on his sprawling estate.

He currently has 45 cattle on his books, and post-footy Hawkins would like to grow the herd number to 150 or even 200.

“A lot of my teammates say that if the neighbor moves the cattle, I’m going to move the cattle because they think I have no idea,” he told the Geelong Advertiser this week.

‘My parents are farmers. My father is still there (on the family farm), he is mixed – sheep, cattle and crops, but I am mainly cattle.

‘I like cattle, that’s kind of my thing at home. (Farming is) fun. I enjoy it. It’s a nice outlet.’

The AFL grand final between Geelong and Sydney kicks off at 2.30pm in the MCG.
