Darren Hayes has been forced to flee his Los Angeles home due to the region’s out-of-control wildfires, which have burned the homes of dozens of celebrities to the ground.
The Savage Garden singer shared updates on Instagram on Friday, telling fans and friends that he was safe and sheltered with his goddaughter’s family.
“I’m so lucky that my goddaughter and her parents took us in,” he wrote alongside an image of his dog cuddled up at the family friend’s house.
‘We have been evacuated safely and as a precaution. The red zone is literally at the end of my street. So many of my friends have lost their homes. This is devastating. I just pray this ends soon,” he added.
Darren had previously shared an eerie photo of the blood-red skies as the fires continue to burn.
“I am safe from the LA fires, which seems selfish to post, but I only do so because of the many caring and concerned people who have reached out,” he wrote.
