Saturday Night Takeaway viewers were convinced Maya Jama swore live on the ITV show.
The Love Island presenter, 29, appeared as the latest Star Guest Announcer on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
And several times during her performance, Maya had to announce the end of the show, a performance by the cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang On Tour – a brand new production of the beloved family favorite.
At one point Maya said, “The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang gang…ooh god! They’re here for the End Of The Show Show, see you after the break.”
However, it sounded like Maya was cursing and before she cut to an ad break, she pointed to the camera and exclaimed, “That was close!”

After the on-air blunder, a fan wrote on social media platform X: ‘Why can’t Maya say Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?’;
‘Maya Jama doesn’t try to say Sh**ty Sh**ty Bang Bang every five minutes’;
‘Maya just says Sh**ty Sh**ty Bang Bang every time’
Maya looked stunning in a sleek white cardigan with sleek high-waisted black trousers and a thick black belt.
She completed her look with a sleek ponytail and a red lip and rocked behind the crowd – making sure she had a Love Island water bottle by her side.
Saturday’s Takeaway was the fourth episode of the twentieth series of the variety programme, the last series before it goes on hiatus.
Earlier in the day, Maya treated more than three million Instagram followers to a behind-the-scenes look at celebrity hairstylist Patrick Wilson.
In February, Ant and Dec revealed that Takeaway is going on hiatus so they can focus more on family time before Ant welcomes his first child.
Ant will become a father in June as his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, is pregnant. Anne-Marie has two children from her previous marriage.
Speaking to Fault Magazine, Ant said: ‘On a more personal level, part of the reason we’re pausing Takeaway is that we need a break ourselves, and we need to spend some time with our family.
