Saturday Night Takeaway fans are left in hysterics as Cat Deeley roasts ‘dark and dreary’ Newcastle while forcing Ant and Dec to dress in hilarious costumes during a surprise reunion

Viewers were left hysterical when Cat Deeley made a hilarious appearance on Saturday Night Takeaway, where she reunited with her former SMTV: Live co-stars Ant and Dec.

Ready to get her ‘revenge’ on the pair after their brutal prank years earlier, the new This Morning presenter, 47, announced she was going to read a horrible bedtime story.

The presenter teased that the guest duo had ‘no idea’ what she had prepared for them and left the crowd and audience in stitches after labeling Newcastle as ‘dark and gloomy’.

Cat made a glamorous entrance in a black beaded mini dress with one sleeve off and one puffed sleeve as she held the ‘dreadime story’ book in her hands.

Ant and Dec were then forced to dress up as their hilarious monster alter-egos Anty and Decky, and the duo then brought everything Cat said to life as they told the story.

While Ant donned a purple-haired cyclops, Dec also became a brown-haired monster with quirky orange hair.

And as the This Morning star continued with her terrifying plot, the guest couple received a hilarious ‘electric shock’ in the backside, causing the audience to burst into uncontrollable laughter.

‘Suddenly things took a nasty turn again. That’s how it can be in dark and dingy Newcastle, and poor Anty and Decky have been struck by lightning,’ she said, pressing a button next to her.

Terrified, Decky cried out pleadingly, “Kat, no, don’t press that!” before another strike of lightning struck them again.

“And they say lightning never strikes twice, but unfortunately, for Anty and Decky it did tonight,” Cat went to press the awful button for the third time.

But there was more to it as even Cat’s fellow This Morning’s co-host Ben Shephard also made a hilarious appearance as part of the joke.

The former Good Morning Britain star, 49, was seen in a box with a number of fake birds, leaving fans freaking out at the funny scenario.

Viewers were hysterical, with some gushing over the Cat, Ant and Dec reunion and remembering the legendary 1998 sketch comedy SMTV Live on ITV, which saw the trio co-host.
