A hardworking Australian is taking early retirement after winning a $3.3 million lottery prize over the weekend.
The man, from Greystanes in Sydney’s west, became a multi-millionaire on Saturday night after buying a ticket at his local kiosk.
He was one of three division one winners in Lotto draw 4483, who each took home a whopping $3.3 million.
“Oh man! I’ve been playing these songs for 40 years and now they’ve finally dropped!” the man said when told of his prize.
The winner also scored 12 times in division three and 14 times in division four, taking his total winnings to a whopping $3,344,195.44.
“It’s a dream come true. I don’t even know how much money that is,” he said.
‘I checked my ticket last night and I knew I had won, but it hasn’t really sunk in yet. It’s just unbelievable.
‘And it’s come at the most perfect time. My retirement has come early.

The man said he wants to use some of his prize money to complete the long-awaited renovation of his home.
“I’m going to finish the house the way I want it and then I can relax,” he said.
‘I’ve been waiting 40 years for this!’
Narith Lim, owner of Greystanes Centre Newsagency, said she was looking forward to spreading the good news that another major division one prize had been won in the region.
‘When I first heard that my kiosk had sold a winning entry for the first division, I was extremely happy and excited for the winner.
“It’s a great feeling to know that someone from our store has achieved such a big win.
‘So far in the last 10 years we have sold a substantial number of six winning first division tickets in this store! We hope to grow this number.’
The winning numbers were 4, 20, 26, 3, 15 and 44, while the additional numbers were 7 and 35.

There are more chances to win big, as the Oz Lotto has a $30 million prize pool up for grabs on Tuesday, while the Powerball on Thursday has $10 million up for grabs.
Tickets can be purchased at any authorised lottery office or via The Lott mobile app.
