Saturday Lotto Australia: Brisbane man comes forward to claim prize
A Brisbane man has won his second major lottery prize this year after taking home $3.7 million in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.
The latest win comes after a $2.8 million lottery prize earlier this year.
“I can’t believe this has happened again,” he said after hearing of the win. “I had to look twice when I checked this morning.
“I thought to myself, ‘Wow, this is incredible.’ Winning twice is magical.
“I told my siblings this morning and my sister said to me, ‘Is this real? What are the chances?’
“My brother called all his friends and they got together to celebrate.
“Some may wonder why I keep playing, but I thought I would give it another shot to continue helping my family. We are all so shocked.”
When asked what he wanted to do with another million-dollar bonus, the medical worker said it would help him work on himself.

“Last time I used most of the profits to start a family,” he said.
‘Now I can donate to many charities, buy an estate for myself and travel the world.
‘This really gives me the freedom to travel anywhere. I want to see the whole world.
‘I’m still working. I love what I do. I work in the medical sector and I really enjoy giving something back to the less fortunate.’
The winning numbers in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw 4481 were 30, 24, 44, 21, 45 and 10, while the additional numbers were 31 and 28.
