Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt got more than he bargained for after confidently declaring that he could handle a dosa that was ’10 out of 10′ on the heat scale.
The presenter, 49, gasped for air and covered his mouth in shock after biting into the skinny pancake made by mother-daughter trio Mumbai Mix.

As her co-stars ate dosas made at the table, one warned, “If this is five out of 10, I’m interested if you can handle 10 out of 10.”

Hot: The presenter, 49, gasped for air and covered his mouth in shock after biting into the skinny pancake made by mother-daughter trio Mumbai Mix.
While the Mumbai Mix said they thought it would be fine in the heat, Matt ate a healthy bite, only to have the chilli hit his lips.
He told them, ‘This is much spicier than the one I tried yesterday.’
Struggling, the host waved his hands and tears welled in his eyes as he urged them to keep talking before telling them, ‘I’ll get in more once I can handle it.’
Those watching from home said the scenes were priceless.
One wrote: ‘this is one of the funniest cooking shows I’ve seen in a long time. Watching @matt_tebbutt wrestle with the chili was fun (sorry Matt). Great TV, thanks.
Another added: ‘Priceless. I can feel the love and the chili. I feel good. Unlike Matt’.
A third viewer asked, “Was that a bit spicy?” while a fourth fan quipped, “You didn’t eat much of your Level 10 Dosa!!”
“Good to see Matt being brave enough to go for a Ten, or maybe it was more of a choice by the rest of the team, wanting to see him suffer,” wrote another.
Elsewhere on the show, Fleur East made a racy comment while helping to prepare a dish of cockles.
