Sarah’s Day: Cashed-up influencer forced to repurchase stolen $650 Prada sunnies after she was slammed for wasting important police time when she filed a report about theft
A cashed-in Sydney influencer has bought back her stolen $650 Prada sunglasses after reporting them to police in a bid to get them back.
Sarah Stevenson, known online as Sarah’s Day, had her designer accessory stolen from Cronulla Post Office earlier this month, with the thief caught on CCTV.
Stevenson was criticized online for complaining about her “first world problem” and wasting important police time when she reported the theft.
On Tuesday, she complained about having to buy the expensive sunglasses again after police failed to find the culprit.
“Unfortunately I had to buy them again, but luckily they had a 30% discount so I was able to make it a little more fair,” she said as she sat in her car with the glasses on for a pilates class.

‘I will do a full update but unfortunately no, I did not get my original sunglasses back. These are the buybacks.β
Stevenson drew the ire of her followers earlier this month when she first posted about filing her police report.
‘Is she right in the head? I get it, but it indicates, βKim, there are people dying,β one person wrote, referencing an iconic Kardashian meme.
‘Very literally also with what is happening in the world. This didn’t have to be a video, but I think she’s a content queen.β

Another wrote: ‘Is this girl for real? Why would you wear $650 Prada sunglasses to the post office?
‘I have the same sunglasses and only wear them on occasions like lunch/drinks! I definitely wouldn’t use them for everyday use for exactly this reason.’
A third added: ‘Is she okay?! The police have real crimes to solve and this dumbass thinks it deserves their full attention! Take another rail and leave!’

Despite negative criticism online, Sarah was devastated to lose her expensive sunglasses. She explained that she had put him down for a moment.
In her lengthy TikTok video, she said she was having trouble dealing with her disgruntled 20-month-old son Malakai while juggling the huge package she wanted to mail.
‘I’m going to that table where you put your stuff to fill [the package] out,β Sarah explained.
Many were annoyed. Sarah posted a ‘Storytime’ about the incident and provoked fans by sharing a video of her entering the police station.

She continued, βMe Take my sunglasses off my head, because they’re going to fall, and I put them next to me. I fill it out, do what I have to do and I give the lady the box.’
A thief took advantage of Sarah’s nervous state and slipped the designer sunglasses into her bag while the influencer wasn’t looking.
After Sarah released the TikTok video explaining the entire incident online, she also uploaded a separate video of herself walking into her local police station.
