Sarah Polley scored another victory with her film Women Talking.
The artist, 43, took home the Director of the Year award at the 34th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Thursday.

The award was just the latest in a long line of accolades for the drama, which has racked up dozens of wins since it began hitting the film festival circuit.
The film has received Golden Globe nominations for Best Screenplay and Best Original Score.
Women Talking is based on the novel by Miriam Toews, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sarah.
The story centers on a group of women living in an isolated and highly conservative religious community who must choose between forgiving the men who have sexually assaulted them or leaving the only home they have ever known.
