The script was written by Karrie, who has worked with Joines on a number of joint film projects over the years.

The first official trailer for the film was released on Tuesday. Early reviews from critics were mixed.
The Wrap bluntly declared that Hold Your Breath is “neither a successful psychological thriller nor a compelling work of horror.”
They criticized the characters for being “underplayed,” but praised Paulson’s “disturbing” performance as a struggling mother grappling with the horrors of the unknown.
Paulson’s trip to Toronto comes just days after she performed alongside fellow A-listers at two of the Creative Arts Emmys galas in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The annual gala focuses on scripted programming, with FX’s Shogun taking home the most nominations with 25 nominations.
For the occasion, Sarah exuded refined elegance in a navy blue dress with white polka dots.
When she’s not gracing the red carpet or starring in acclaimed films/TV shows, Sarah spends time with her partner Holland Taylor, 81.
The couple first met in 2005, but didn’t start dating until ten years later, after reconnecting through social media.

Despite being in a relationship for nearly a decade, Taylor revealed on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show last month that she and Sarah have no plans to get married.
I don’t think so [we’ll get married]’ said Taylor, who generally keeps her love life out of the spotlight. ‘No. We’ve never talked about it with any interest.’
The queer icon, best known for her role as Judge Roberta Kittleson on the ABC show The Practice, noted that a legal contract “just doesn’t seem to mean that you… [them] what it means to many people.’
She further pointed out that if they wanted to walk down the aisle, they “would do it.”
After Cohen said he loved how in love they seemed, Taylor enthused that they “do have a great resonance.”
“We are very interested in the same things, but still there are big differences,” the star added.

Still, Taylor says their 31-year age difference does create “big generational gaps,” which she sometimes “worries” about.
“But what can I do?” the artist asked. “A lot of the things that she’s going through now that are very important to her emotionally, I went through 30 or 40 years ago.”
Neither Taylor nor Paulson have ever been married. Paulson was previously engaged to playwright Tracy Letts.
