Mother-of-three Sarah Miles is allegedly killed in domestic violence attack after she was found with head wounds at her Casino home

A mother of three has reportedly died in a domestic violence attack, while her partner is accused of murder.
Sarah Miles was found unconscious with head injuries before dying at her home on Johnston Street in Casino, northern NSW, at 2.30am on Saturday.
Her partner Dwayne John Creighton, 31, was arrested and charged with murder.
Police were called to the scene after a neighbor reported the incident, saying he heard screams coming from the home.
It took an hour for NSW Police to respond to the call and an investigation into the matter was launched.
A relative of Mrs Miles described her as a “compassionate person”.
“She was a very smart lady. She loved her children,” she told the Daily telegram.
“She didn’t deserve this. It’s absolutely soul destroying and devastating.”

Kirsty Lee, a friend of Ms Miles, said she was in shock.
“I can’t believe this happened,” she said.
‘Sarah, you were my best friend. I always cared about you and your children. I will always remember you from our school days.
“You are a beautiful lady, I miss you so much. I wish this was a dream, rest in peace my beautiful friend Sarah always loved, never forgotten.”
According to New South Wales Assistant Commissioner Peter McKenna, the report to Triple-0 was made at 1.30am, an hour before police arrived on the scene.
“When they arrived at the scene they found an unconscious woman with obvious injuries to her head,” Mr McKenna said.

Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated and she died on the spot. The delay concerns me so much that I have asked for an independent investigation.
“What the police did before that and what other tasks there were will be part of that investigation.”
The call was reportedly a priority three call, meaning officers did not immediately respond to the matter.
New South Wales Police will investigate why the report was given a lower priority and why it took so long for officers to respond to the case.
Creighton faced Lismore Bail Court on Sunday.
