Sarah Jessica Parker makes ‘childless cat lady’ remark as she reveals who she’s voting for in US election
Sarah Jessica Parker made a “childless cat lady” joke on Wednesday as she revealed who she was voting for in next month’s US presidential election.
The Sex and the City star, 59, who is currently filming season three of the spin-off And Just Like That…, took to Instagram to announce that she is supporting Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.
She posted a photo with her cat and, holding up a Harris Waltz placard in her New York window, wrote: “For love of my country, for our public schools, for books, for common sense gun laws.
‘For a living wage, for opportunities, for women, for voting rights, for the dreamers, for art and culture, for my mother and seniors
For our military, past and present, for the climate, for hope, for friends and loved ones in the LGBTQ+ community
In real life, SJP has endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris for the US presidential election, but disabled comments on her post after receiving backlash
‘For freedom, for science, for affordable healthcare
‘For our union members, for democracy, for my daughters, for my son, for all our children
“For equality, for dignity, for hope, for the Constitution, for me, for love, for choice.”
Referencing her character Carrie Bradshaw and Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance’s viral comments about prominent Democrats being “childless cat ladies,” she continued, “And for a certain childless cat lady I play on TV, with an abundance of joy, optimism and proud.
“I’m voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz, X, SJ.”
However, the star was forced to disable comments on her post after receiving criticism for her choice.
Harris was recently endorsed by superstar rapper Eminem, but his fans were left outraged after the rapper showed his support alongside former President Barack Obama in Detroit.
At a campaign event in his hometown, 52-year-old Slim Shady took the stage and took a subtle swipe at Donald Trump, voicing his support for Harris and saying she was not seeking “retaliation.”
At a campaign event in Detroit, Eminem subtly took a swipe at Donald Trump and expressed support for Kamala Harris before introducing Barack Obama.
Some Eminem fans were unhappy with the rapper’s performance
He then introduced Obama, who took the stage and rapped lines from Eminem’s Grammy-winning song “Lose Yourself.”
Some fans of the musician – including Tesla boss Elon Musk – expressed their dissatisfaction with the rapper’s performance.
Musk, who has famously expressed his support for the Republican candidate, said the “Love The Way You Lie” singer was linked to Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is facing mounting allegations of sexual assault and rape.
“Another participant in the Diddy party,” Musk wrote on X.
An irate fan further criticized, “I grew up obsessed with Eminem. Like everything I’ve listened to for years. Unfortunately, he is now a pathetic loser. The same man who wrote all these songs about anti-establishment, against the grain.
“Just to become a little sheep and do what he’s told.” Many such cases.’
On Wednesday, Harris unleashed a scathing attack on her Republican rival Donald Trump, warning that he would be another Adolf Hitler if he wins a second term in the White House.
Standing outside her home near the US Naval Observatory, Harris quoted an interview Trump’s former chief of staff John Kelly gave to the New York Times in which he said Trump often spoke admirably about Hitler when he was in the White House .
“It is deeply disturbing and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump is invoking Adolf Hitler – the man responsible for the deaths of six million Jews,” Harris said.
Harris indicated that Donald Trump would behave like a dictator if he won in November
“Donald Trump is becoming increasingly unhinged and unstable, and in a second term people like John Kelly would no longer be there to serve as a guard against his tendencies and his actions,” she added.
“So the bottom line is we know what Donald Trump wants. He wants unchecked power. In thirteen days the question will be: What do the American people want?’
A Trump campaign spokesman responded to Kelly’s claims in a statement to The Times, saying the former political adviser “has completely outed himself with these debunked stories that he has fabricated.”
