Sarah Jessica Parker ADOPTS kitten Carrie rescued in And Just Like That… and reveals adorable pet’s new name (and it’s NOT Shoe!)

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed she’s adopted the cute kitten her character Carrie Bradshaw rescued in And Just Like That… season two.

The actress, 58, whose SATC co-star Kim Cattrall recently returned for the reboot’s finale, shared some adorable snaps with the cat, who christened Carrie on the show Shoe.

In the series, Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez) adopted Shoe after working at a vet’s office – with a horrified Carrie later taking the kitten to her apartment and later to a new mansion.

SJP posted photos of her kitten, who was adopted by the Connecticut Human Society, revealing his new name, writing, “His off-camera name is Lotus.

He and his siblings were all given botanical names when they were rescued as a newborn by the @cthumanesociety.

“If he looks familiar, it’s because he is.”

The star also posted photos of Lotus settling down with his feline siblings, being kissed by the star and relaxing at home in New York City.

The post comes after Cattrall shocked fans of Sex and the City and And Just Like That… in late May when it was reported that she filmed a secret cameo in mid-March, which she did without interacting with any cast member.

And Just Like That… was first announced in January 2021, with Cattrall’s absence immediately raising eyebrows among fans, with Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Kristin Davis (Charlotte York) and Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) Hobbes) reprise their iconic roles.

In the series premiere, it was explained that Samantha had moved to London, while during the season 1 premiere, Carrie contacted Samantha via text and made plans to meet in person and reconcile.

Samantha’s return came in the form of a phone call to Carrie, which took place very early in the season finale.

Carrie comes home on the phone to Aiden (John Corbett) and contacts him after rushing back to Virginia after hearing that his son Wyatt (Logan Souza) was injured.

“Oh my god you did, I’m very surprised,” says Carrie, while Samantha adds, “Well, the fog finally lifted, but the crew? Maximum off. Oh, I’m fucking furious.’

Carrie insists, “We’ll just get together tomorrow,” though Samantha adds, “Honey, I just left Heathrow.” I flew back on the first flight in the morning.

A confused Carrie asks, “Wait a minute, you flew all the way to New York for one night?”

Samantha adds, “Well, it’s your apartment, and I have to pay my respects,” before asking Carrie to put her on speaker and hold up the phone.
