Sarah Jayne Dunn admits she’ll ‘call it a day’ on OnlyFans when her son Stanley, six, gets older

Sarah Jayne Dunn has said she will likely give up her racy OnlyFans career when her son Stanley becomes a teenager.

Her words come as she hits back at criticism that she’s a “bad mom” for producing the content when she has a six-year-old son she shares with husband Jonathan Smith.

The former Hollyoaks star, 41, admitted that ‘it’s easy’ for people to make her feel ‘terrible’, but they ‘probably stop it’ as he gets older.

Speaking of a new episode of her Hot and tricky podcast alongside former glamor model Tracey Coleman, Sarah said, “OhOne of the greatest things I’ve accomplished doing OnlyFans is something like, if you’re a mom, you know, “can’t.”

Or a lot of people say “Oh you poor child” and it’s easy to make you feel awful.

Honest: Ex Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn has admitted she will give up her OnlyFans career when her son, 6, is older, but says ‘the most important thing is that he is loved and happy’

‘I’m a really good mom. Surely the most important thing is that he is loved and that he is happy and that he is fed?

And he is only six years old. So for me, at some point I’ll probably get to that stage and say “okay, good. Maybe it’s time to call it a day.”

“Maybe when Stan’s about to start high school or something. Fortunately, for the time being he is at a wonderful school with wonderful parents and wonderful children. Everyone knows it and it’s okay.”

In November 2021, Sarah was dropped from Hollyoaks after joining adult subscription service OnlyFans.

Producers thought it was not ‘in line with their target audience’.

She has now reportedly earned more than £700,000 through the X-rated subscription site, more than a year after being laid off from her £120,000 acting job.

But her success is not without consequences, she admitted, as she still receives a lot of backlash and “judgment.”

She explained: “I get the odd comment from a man and it’s normally along the lines of ‘you’re a mother, you know, you should know better’

She said: '[I'll stop ] when maybe Stan is about to start high school or something. Fortunately, for the time being he is at a wonderful school with wonderful parents and wonderful children. Everyone knows it and it's okay.

‘But it’s mostly women from whom I’ve judged.

“I always go back to this, I think that always comes from a place of insecurity from that woman. Whatever that may be – whether it’s jealousy or whether it’s their fear of being sexual or their fear of failure or they just don’t get it.

“They just don’t know how to respond, except to say, ‘Oh, you shouldn’t do that.’

‘But why not? If I choose to. It’s my body and no one is forcing me to do this. I earn my living with it. I enjoy it. It has given me freedom in so many different ways.”

Sarah’s confession comes after she reveals it that her role as the breadwinner in her family is a “taboo topic” in a candid discussion of stigmas faced by women.

Sarah said, “I’m the breadwinner in the family. For me, I feel more pressure because I have always been the breadwinner in every relationship.

“I have always worked and I am now. For me there was a lot of “I have to go back to work” because I’m the one who brings in the pay so I’ll pay all the bills. This is how it should be.

Again, it’s a bit of a taboo. Being the breadwinner as a woman is a bit of a taboo to me.’

Sarah has been married to Jonathan since 2018.

She felt another taboo she faced was that of gender roles during parenthood – adding that if she misses a few days to take her son to school, people will ask where she is. But if Jonathan isn’t seen for a few days, no questions are asked.

Despite being the breadwinner in her own family, Sarah reflected that the gender pay gap could prevent many from returning to work as quickly as they would like.

She said: “It feels like as women we are given more control to go back to work, especially if you go back to work sooner rather than later once you have a child.

‘While men don’t understand that judgement. There’s no such thing as “your baby is only six months old and you’re coming back to work.” Men are right back in.

“It feels very much like it’s all up to you, I guess. And I think so too, now that the men can go back to work.

“It feels very much like it’s your baby, rather than as you say, a shared thing and a shared experience. Work is part of that. It should be a choice.

“Especially with the gender pay gap – it feels like women are being priced out a little bit. The men go back to work because they earn more than we do, especially with the costs of childcare.’

The star, who played Mandy Richardson in Hollyoaks from 1996 to 2021, previously said she was ‘much happier’ after being kicked off the show over her posts on the raunchy website.

She said posting her own photos on OnlyFans meant she could have taken control of her own image.

When a fan asked, ‘How do you feel since you stopped working for Hollyoaks?’ Sarah replied, ‘Free’.

Another follower wondered: ‘If Hollyoaks had let you stay regardless of OnlyFans, would you have left anyway?’

To which Sarah said, “Leaving the show was never my intention, but I believe in everything for a reason and I’m much happier now.”

In December, Sarah made the decision to make her OnlyFans page free after some of her sexy snaps were leaked online.

The actress now has two pages – one is free and the other has a basic subscription of £14.99 per month.

Sarah previously received a generous 80 percent commission from OnlyFans, putting her in the top 0.5 percent of creators after turning down a chance to return to the soap.
