Axed CBeebies presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell, 50, poses topless in the sea after getting her first mammogram 13 years on from getting sacked for THAT racy shoot
Former CBeebies presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell shared a topless photo of herself on Instagram on Tuesday after having her first mammogram.
The vegan star, 50, was unceremoniously fired from the broadcaster more than a decade ago for posing topless in a PETA campaign.
She joked about her former employer in her caption: “We just got my #cboobies photographed in a whole new way!
‘I had my first #mammogramssavelives. Yes, I’m a woman of a certain age now and that’s why I’m joining a new club of how women over 50 capture their (sic) t***ies on camera.’

Sarah continued: ‘So here’s a photo of my external knockers (bandages at the ready) to celebrate @nhsengland and to say to women everywhere: take care of your t***ies!
She ended with: “Now I just have to brace myself for the HRT, I guess” and added a blowing kiss emoji.
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a treatment used to relieve symptoms of menopause.
Sarah-Jane enjoyed great fame on the children’s television circuit in the various BBC shows, but her ill-fated career took off when she posed for PETA during a break from her presenting duties in 2011.
After posing topless on a large plate of food in London’s Trafalgar Square to protest against eating meat, she was met with anger by bosses and was dropped from the canal.
Sarah-Jane admitted she only agreed to do the shoot for a ‘bit of fun’ and was not paid for her involvement, but still faced a backlash from BBC bosses.
The star also posed for a shoot in a skimpy cardigan, with Diet Coke poured over her chest, and when the images came to light, she learned she had been fired.
In 2023, Sarah-Jane revealed the shocking and misogynistic treatment she faced while working in children’s television.
She revealed that she felt intimidated because “when women speak out, they are the problem.”
The former TV presenter, 47, shot to fame in 2002 with shows including Higgledy House and Mighty Mites, alongside Justin Fletcher, 51 – also known as Mr Tumble (pictured in 2002)

Recalling a horrific moment, she revealed she had to share a dressing room with a male presenter, ‘without explanation.’
She raised her concerns but these were dismissed, with Sarah-Jane revealing: ‘I told one of the male directors I wanted to be with the girls and it became such a big problem he would barely talk to me, he was so angry .’
After she continued to push for a single-sex locker room, her request was eventually granted, but she revealed this came at a price as crew members “gave her the silent treatment.”
Sarah-Jane also had problems with female staff, revealing she was branded ‘old and ugly’ by a senior who had been watching her on camera, with the only feedback being ‘you need to cut your hair’.
Despite this, Sarah-Jane is still on good terms with the BBC, as she presents a weekly 80s and 90s music show on BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

Ayden, 42, also appears in Emmerdale and he and Sarah-Jane own Curious Theatre, a children’s theater company.
