Wells Adams celebrated the fifth anniversary of his engagement to actress Sarah Hyland on Sunday with a celebratory post on his Instagram account.
Adams, 40, shared a photo of himself and his wife, 33, on a beach in Fiji in July 2019 after he proposed.
“It’s been 5 years since I conned this woman into spending the rest of her life with me,” said Adams, who rose to fame after appearing on ABC’s The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.
Adams, who currently hosts the Your Favorite Thing Podcast with Brandi Cyrus, added, “Best decision I’ve ever made. I love you so much @sarahhyland … Happy engagement anniversary, sweetheart.”
Adams, who also hosts the Hulu series Best in Dough, was pictured laughing on the beach with Hyland, whose diamond engagement ring was visible in the photo.

Adams and Hyland tied the knot in August 2022 at Sunstone Winery near Santa Barbara, California. Her Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson officiated.
The 150 guests in attendance also included several of Hyland’s other co-stars from the hit ABC series, including Sofía Vergara Vergara, Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould.
Adams and Hyland first became a couple in October 2017, a few months after she and Shadowhunters actor Dominic Sherwood split after more than two years of dating.
Hyland played Haley Dunphy on Modern Family from 2009 to 2020, and has since appeared in the 2022 comedy My Fake Boyfriend, opposite Keiynan Lonsdale and Dylan Sprouse; and in the Peacock series Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin with Adam Devine and Jameela Jamil.
She can currently be seen in an off-Broadway version of Little Shop of Horrors, reprising the role of Audrey, played by actress Ellen Greene in the 1986 film.
She opened her performance in May in Live with Kelly and Mark about how Adams encouraged her to embrace the role on stage.
“I’m not doing the Ellen Greene accent from the movie … and my husband asked me on the phone, ‘Hey, how do you do that? Do it for me!'” Hyland said. “So I gave him a little preview, over the phone, of the accent.”
She noted that Adams responded with “the wildest reaction” [she] could have imagined’ and told her that it would be ‘very sexual for him if she played the part’.

Adams on June 7 went to Instagram with what he called an “appreciation post” for his “ultra talented wife” during her latest stage performance, saying her “portrayal of Audrey in @littleshopnyc is perfect.”
He said that ‘the acting, the singing, the dancing, the comedy, the pain, everything is amazing.’
He praised her co-star Andrew Barth Feldman for being “unbelievably perfect as Seymour,” adding, “They’re beautiful together.”
He concluded by saying, “Run, don’t walk, to see #littleshopofhorrors in NYC!”
