Bachelor vet Sarah Herron announced on Wednesday that she is expecting her first child with fiancé Dylan Brown.
The couple shared the happy news on Instagram that they are having a son.
“We can’t keep a secret anymore!” Sarah, 35, wrote on a picture of the radiant parents-to-be showing their ultrasound photos. ‘Our embryo transfer was a success and I’m pregnant with our son!’

This revelation comes after a difficult year-long IVF battle.
“We’re still early in the first trimester,” Herron said People“But since I’ve shared my fertility journey so candidly with my community, it’s important to me that I stay in that faith.”
“Surreal doesn’t begin to describe how it all felt,” she wrote candidly on Instagram, revealing she is seven weeks pregnant. “The road ahead is long and I know we’ll hold our breath until the day our baby lands with us.”
The entrepreneur and her filmmaker fiancé became engaged in May 2021, when Dylan popped the question at the base of Mount Sopris. Native to Colorado, the beautiful two-peaked mountain is the couple’s favorite spot.

Sarah proudly calls herself an “IVF warrior” on her Instagram account and has been open about her reduced ovarian reserve diagnosis. “I never thought it would turn out this way for me,” she wrote on Instagram last March, “that at 34 I would be told that my chances of having a baby naturally are very slim.”
‘Dr. Aimee (@eggwhisperer) thank you,” she wrote, an emotional shoutout to her fertility doctor in the announcement. ‘From the bottom of our hearts. You fought for this as hard as we did. I start to cry when I think of you and the gift you have been in our lives. We love you.”
The former advertising executive first appeared on the 17th season of The Bachelor, competing for the heart of Sean Lowe in 2013. She was eliminated in week six and returned for the first and third seasons of Bachelor in Paradise.

With her Bachelor days behind her, Sarah is looking forward to starting a family with Dylan Brown, calling him her “forever paradise, favorite adventure buddy and BEST friend” on Instagram in the past.
The SheLift founder met her husband-to-be in 2017 when he was hired as a videographer for her company’s first walking retreat. The couple is passionate about the outdoors and regularly posts about their exciting adventures on Instagram.
Born with one arm, Herron has worked in the past to overcome medical obstacles and this has been a driving force behind SheLift’s mission to “enable girls to conquer their personal mountains.” The nonprofit uses outdoor physical activity to help boost confidence in girls born with similar conditions. This new milestone will certainly serve to increase Sarah’s ability to inspire.
