Sarah and Ben tied the knot in 2022, when the South Australian Greens senator took a weekend off during a busy election campaign to marry her “best friend”.
The lovebirds tied the knot in front of 80 guests at Lobethal Road Wines, less than an hour’s drive northeast of Adelaide.

Due to Covid border restrictions, the two families were only able to meet in person on the big day.
Sarah wore a beautiful strapless lace dress by Adelaide designer Alexis George for the festive occasion.
Attendees at the ceremony included Greens Senate candidate Barbra Pocock, former Greens leader Bob Brown and Sydney MP Alex Greenwich.

“Because of Covid, my side of the family, the family that lives in Victoria and Ben’s side of the family that lives in New South Wales, haven’t met up until now, so it’s a lovely coming together of the two families,” Sarah said. The Advertiser at the time.
