Sarah Ferguson has paid a jaw-dropping tribute to her daughter Princess Beatrice, who celebrates her 35th birthday today, as she revealed the life advice she gave both of her children as they grew up.
In the latest episode of her podcast, The Duchess of York, 63, discussed the “elusive concept of equilibrium” in relation to her personal experiences of parenthood.
She revealed the core values she instilled in her daughters by leading by example.
“If you don’t want to be polite, don’t go on the public stage because no one wants to see a grumpy princess,” she said.
Sarah added, “I think the most important thing is to get your game going.”
The 63-year-old Duchess of York recently launched a new podcast: ‘Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah’, in which she shares the core values she instilled in Beatrice
In addition to etiquette, the Duchess added that a strong work ethic was another core value she wanted to pass on to her children.
She said, “Beatrice always says, ‘Mom, thank goodness at five on a Sunday you put on your camel coat and went to work. Because now I go to work, I work very hard, and I put on my camel coat, and I think of the leadership you showed me.”’
Sarah said she is proud of the “hard-working” Beatrice, who currently works as a consultant for a software company called Affiniti.
But now one of the main focuses in her life is “literally focusing on joy,” and she’s also thrilled that Beatrice was able to find the joy in her own family.
She said, “I’m thrilled that my kids, who work so hard, can have their pods from family, and now they’re living the dream.”
“I believe my children have beautiful, wonderful happiness in them and I love that.”
In a previous episode, the Duchess shared another important message she shared with her daughters: “When they were growing up I said, ‘Take responsibility for your actions, there are consequences for your actions every time you go out the front door.'”

In the first episode of the podcast, the Duchess also revealed her “rule book” that she had to follow at all times, which included “loyalty, kindness, integrity, goodness, courage, manners and all these beautiful things.”
It comes amid suggestions that Beatrice could hold the key to healing the rift between the royal family and Prince Harry.
Talking to the OK! Magazinebrand and culture expert Nick Ede believes Beatrice’s character could be the perfect cure for the problems.
Ede has said that Beatrice has previously been able to manage family issues well, including the consequences of having a controversial father.
He said: “She also has the ability to see both sides of the coin, so in regards to Harry’s feud with William and King Charles, she can be more open-minded and encourage both sides to discuss, talk about and potentially overcome that divide. heal.”
