Sarah Ferguson has congratulated the newly crowned King and Queen on social media – after missing out on an invite to today’s historic event.
The Duchess of York, commonly known as Fergie, marked the moment Instagramwith a lovely photo of the royal couple from the day’s celebrations.
She posted a photo of King Charles and Queen Camilla waving to royal fans as they left Westminster Abbey with a short and sweet congratulations.
Meanwhile, Sarah’s two daughters, Princess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 33, were invited to the event, attending with their respective husbands Edo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank.
Sarah’s ex-husband Prince Andrew also attended the ceremony, although he played no official role in King Charles’ coronation.

“Sincere congratulations to Their Majesties, the King and Queen,” Sarah wrote in an Instagram post shared today.
Her daughters made a glamorous entrance as they arrived at today’s ceremony, and her eldest donned a pair of dainty £37,000 earrings for the occasion.
The 34-year-old royal lit up the room in a hot pink dress from Beulah, worth £695. The belted ensemble accentuated the figure of King Charles III’s niece for an elegant and stylish display.

Beatrice wore her auburn locks in elegant waves and softened the magenta tones with a chunky bronze headband and beige clutch.
Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie showed off her baby bump in a full navy ensemble as she joined her family in London for the historic festivities.
Yesterday, Sarah revealed how she celebrated the coronation of King Charles III – after missing an invitation to the historic event.
The 63-year-old Duchess of York shared adorable photos on her Instagram and Twitter accounts with the ‘tea fit for a King’ she collected for the residents of the Manor Care Home in Windsor ‘to help them celebrate’.

One of the images showed a corgi sitting at a table with a delicious looking cake in front of it. It is thought that the pet could be one of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s two surviving corgis, Muick and Sandy.
Sarah, along with her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, is caring for the two beloved dogs after the Queen’s death.
In April, the Duchess broke her silence over her disapproval of the coronation, telling ITV’s Good Morning Britain she was not offended, citing her divorce from the Duke of York.
Alongside the set of five adorable snaps of her “tea fit for a King,” she wrote, “I hope you have the flags ready for tomorrow’s coronation. I sure have.
“Today I’ve put together a king’s tea that I’ve shared with the residents of Windsor’s Manor Care Home to help them celebrate. Enjoy the weekend!’
In addition to the corgis, Sarah and her team had created a beautifully prepared selection of sandwiches, a menu that included “Camilla’s Tea” with lemon, ginger or green, and a huge cake that had been dubbed “Charles’ Crunchy Cream Cake.”
Sarah’s social media followers were quick to comment on the sweet post and many spoke of the fact that the Duchess will not be attending King Charles and Queen Camilla’s coronation at Westminster Abbey tomorrow.
One person wrote, “So glad you are taking good care of the Queen’s corgis.”
“That’s really selfless and worthy!! Personally I think you should be there, but I hope you have a great day x,” another Fergie fan added.
While a third follower commented: “Looks great… in person, our Duchess of York should be there tomorrow.
‘Nice. Looking awesome. And you should be there,” a fourth fan wrote. “Awww nice job,” one person wrote, while another follower added “Sarah Big Heart.”

Instead, Sarah will be a “VIP attendee” at the coronation concert to celebrate King Charles being officially crowned the following day, according to reports.
The Duchess of York recently spoke out about the disapproval during a speech on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, insisting she was not offended and citing her divorce from Prince Andrew as the reason.
She told presenters Kate Garraway and Adil Ray: ‘I don’t [going]it’s a state event, and being divorced, I don’t think you can have it both ways.
“I’m divorced and I really like being separated from my ex-husband, not from him but from him. It’s important to make a distinction.”
She added that just because she’s “not present at the state event,” she can still “attend” it privately.
“It’s a wonderful feeling to be a part of, it really is,” she continued, “and like I said, you can’t have both. You are not allowed to sit on the fence. You’re in or out, don’t mess around.’

Sarah, who is divorced from Prince Andrew (pictured together in 2019), said: ‘You can’t go either way, you’re in or out’
She added, “The beauty of this moment in time is the unity of the family, and I think Charles and Camilla are doing an exceptional job of uniting the family.”
It was previously reported that the Duchess was not expected to attend the coronation – despite her daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie attending.
Royal commentator Tom Bower previously told MailOnline that Sarah had excluded herself because of her previous “behavior”.
He added that her presence “would provoke critical comments, which King Charles does not need.”
Expert Richard Fitzwilliams praised the king’s “extremely wise” decision as it has “embarrassed the royal family for years”.
Speaking of Sarah’s absence, Mr Bower said she will be left out ‘because she is not a member of the royal family’.
He added that she had excluded herself “because of her past behavior” and said: “Her presence would provoke critical remarks that Charles does not need.”
