Ten News The father of first-time presenter Sandra Sully has died, prompting an outpouring of tributes.

Sully broke the news Monday night on X and remembered her father, Sid, as “the BEST man I ever knew.”

“There is no greater loss than losing a parent. My heart is broken. We all loved him so much.”

Ten News first presenter Sandra Sully has shared a heartfelt message following the death of her father Sydney

Fellow Channel Ten personality Angela Bishop paid tribute: “Oh Sandra. I am so sorry for the loss of your precious father.”

Last year, Sully revealed in an interview with New Idea that her father was dealing with some health issues.

She said this encouraged her to star in the SBS documentary series Who Do You Think You Are?

“There came a point where I had to stop thinking about myself and realize this was about them (parents) – and what a wonderful gift this was to give them,” she said.
