San Francisco man has argument with driverless car – whose electronic voice issues eerie response to his erratic behavior
A laughing hooligan blocked a self-driving car while challenging it, then allegedly attacked a disabled man who was filming his bizarre antics.
Police are looking for the young man with the cap on backwards, after the bystander he allegedly attacked nearly died from a skull fracture.
Bizarre footage shows the man, aged between 25 and 30, criticizing the Waymo vehicle in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood around 1 a.m. on July 5.
He stood in the middle of the road in front of the white car and prevented it from moving, as the artificial intelligence did not want to risk running him over.

“What are you going to do? I want to see it, come on Waymo, give me something to work with,” he shouted at the car, despite it being a car.
The video, released by police, shows the man walking straight to the hood of the car and harassing the passenger.
“Yo, that dude in the car, his testosterone is through the roof,” he mocked.
In another part of the video, he was seen banging on the hood of the car and yelling, “Hey, come on, let’s work for each other.”
The car responded with a robotic voice and sounded an alarm: “unsafe behavior detected.”
“You are no better than me,” the young man shouted in response.

The man then looked straight at the can and made a disapproving gesture, as if the car were a person he was angry with.
“Come on, we’re friends, Waymo, we’re f**king friends, you said you were going to work for me,” he said.
The video ends here, but according to police, at one point the man filming the car told him to stop and let the car move.
Instead, “he walks away from the car and attacks the victim, causing him to fall,” police said.
The man allegedly pushed the disabled man a second time, causing him to fall to the ground, and then brutally attacked him as he lay there.

A witness flagged down a police car and officers found the man unconscious with life-threatening injuries, including a skull fracture.
Emergency services quickly arrived on the scene to treat him, after which he was taken to hospital.
According to the victim’s family, he was cognitively impaired and police described him as “visibly disabled.”
Police describe the alleged attacker as having a medium complexion and facial hair.
He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap backwards, a black jacket, a blue shirt, light blue jeans, white sneakers and carrying a white bag.
