Samsung launches Galaxy A55 5G mobile phones with AI camera function

Consumer electronics brand Samsung on Thursday announced the launch of the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G mobile phones in the mid-range segment.

The new A-series devices come with multiple features including Gorilla Glass Victus plus protection, camera features enhanced by AI and a tamper-resistant security solution, the Samsung Knox Vault, among many other new features, a company official said.

“The Galaxy A series has been the best-selling smartphone series in India for the past two years, demonstrating its popularity among consumers. The launch of the Galaxy A55 5G and A35 5G reinforces our commitment to making flagship-like innovations accessible to everyone,” Hirendra Kumar Rathod, Senior Director, MX Business, Samsung India, said in a press release.

He said that for the first time, the Galaxy A55 5G will have a metal frame and the Galaxy A35 5G will have a premium glass back.

Rathod said that the new A-series smartphones come with multiple innovative AI-enhanced camera features.

In addition, Samsung Knox Vault Security is being introduced for the first time in the A Series, making top-level security accessible to more people.

“The hardware-based security system provides comprehensive protection against both hardware and software attacks. It can help protect the most critical data on a device, including lock screen credentials such as PINs, passwords and patterns,” he added.
