- The Galaxy Ring 2 could be teased in January
- The car may not go on sale until mid-2025
- AR glasses may also be unveiled next month
In our Samsung Galaxy Ring review we awarded the wearable 4.5 out of 5 stars, so we’re really looking forward to what the next model has to offer – and it looks like we’ll get our first good look at the 2nd generation smart ring already next month.
This is reported by a Taiwanese news source DigiTimes (via New), we’ll get an “introduction” to the Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 at an Unpacked event in January. Previous rumors suggested that Samsung is planning one for January 22.
We don’t get too many new details here, although the report does mention new size options, more accurate sensors, improved AI and better battery life – all fairly predictable upgrades, but welcome nonetheless.
DigiTimes says we may also see new augmented reality (AR) glasses from Samsung at the Unpacked event, something that has already been predicted by other sources – so this is shaping up to be a pretty important showcase for Samsung products .
A packaged unpacked
Lest we forget, the main reason for a Samsung Unpacked event in January is the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 phone series. We expect a standard model, an S25 Plus, an S25 Ultra and possibly also a new Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim.
Galaxy AI apps and tools will also be on all these devices: part of the event should be devoted to the full launch of One UI 7 for Galaxy phones (Samsung’s version of Android 15), which is currently in beta testing is.
However, if the Galaxy Ring 2 and the new AR specs are listed here, they may not go on sale immediately. Keep in mind that the original Galaxy Ring wasn’t available for purchase until July 2024, after a tease in January 2024, so the same thing could happen again in 2025.
When the Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 eventually sees the light of day, it will almost certainly be worth a mention on our list of the best smart rings you can buy – although we’ll have to wait to try it out before delivering a final version. pronunciation.
