Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra leak may have revealed the flagship’s dimensions – and it’s thinner than ever

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series isn’t launching until early next year, but we’ve already seen numerous leaks about all three phones. Now we have the exact dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra model.

These dimensions come from the usually reliable Ice Universeand are said to measure 162.8mm x 77.6mm x 8.2mm. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra launched in January 2024 measures 162.3mm x 79mm x 8.6mm.

If these numbers are correct, the next Ultra will be thinner than its predecessor – and indeed the thinnest model in the series yet. It also looks like it will be taller and wider than the current model, but not by much.

It’s not the first time we’ve been tipped off about the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s thinness: a previous leak suggested the phone would be both thinner and lighter than its two biggest competitors, the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Shape change

Part of the size shift could come because the handset is rumored to be moving back to a more rounded look. The Galaxy S24 Ultra has flat bezels around its display, and moving away from that will likely require a size adjustment as well.

We’re also expecting to see a slight increase in screen size on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, with the display rumored to measure 6.86 inches, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 6.8-inch corner-to-corner display.

There’s also talk of the Galaxy S25 Ultra getting a more asymmetrical shape from front to back, with a more rounded design towards the back. That should make it a little more comfortable to hold than its predecessor.

Another rumor we’ve heard is a boost in RAM to 16GB, though other specs including battery capacity and charging speed are expected to be the same as the current model. We should see the phone hit the market in January.
